This doesn't seem to be a problem on all Joomla templates; but if you run into this problem, here's a simple fix!

i have done it..
>> Site >> Global Configuration >> SEO Settings >> changed to No

but stil css is not working

I use the Artiseer template maker; which by the way is awesome, I'd made a template for the site I was working on and everything worked fine for approx 6 weeks then all of a sudden no CSS on the pages other than for the home page, finding this reminded me I'd been tinkering with the SEO, turn it back off and CSS is back.

If I find a solution I'll post here because I really want that CSS but don't want to let go of Artiseer... just yet.

Hello,
But what is the point of keeping things SEF?

After all, you switch SEO on for that purpose, so what is the point of turning it OFF?

So when you want Web crawlers to generate SEF urls and do a SEO, how do you restore things!!1

Hello Jim.

I have only once had the problem as stated above; for the most part all my other Joomla templates worked perfectly. This resolution is only for folks who can't get CSS to work on subsequent pages. Normally, you wouldn't want to turn it off but if that is the only workaround with your template, you may have to try this. To turn it back on if you find your problem is fixed without this tip, simply reverse the sequence!

Thank you so much. You saved me a lot of hours of work. I was going to end up building a complete site from scratch if I hadn't come across this solution. It has taken a week of troubleshooting to find the answer.
